How To Install A Concealed Shower And Bath Mixer With Fix-box

Installing a concealed Shower Valve with a fix-box requires some plumbing knowledge and skills. Here is a step-by-step guide to help you with the installation process:

1. Gather the necessary tools and materials: You will need a concealed shower valve set, a fix-box, a drill, a level, a measuring tape, a pencil, a pipe cutter or saw, a wrench, plumber's tape, and plumber's putty.

2. Shut off the water supply: Locate the main water supply valve and turn it off to prevent any water flow during the installation process.

3. Determine the location: Decide on the location where you want to install the concealed shower and bath mixer. Make sure it is easily accessible and at a comfortable height.

4. Mark the installation area: Use a measuring tape and a level to mark the desired height and position of the mixer on the wall. Use a pencil to mark the spots where you will be drilling the holes.

5. Install the fix-box: Use a drill to create holes in the wall according to the marked spots. Insert the fix-box into the holes and secure it in place using screws or brackets provided with the fix-box. Make sure the fix-box is level and flush with the wall.

6. Connect the water supply pipes: Measure and cut the water supply pipes to the appropriate length using a pipe cutter or saw. Apply plumber's tape to the threaded ends of the pipes to ensure a tight seal. Connect the pipes to the fix-box using a wrench, making sure they are securely tightened.

7. Install the concealed shower and bath mixer: Apply plumber's putty around the edges of the mixer's flange. Insert the mixer into the fix-box and secure it in place using the provided screws or brackets. Make sure the mixer is level and aligned properly.

8. Test for leaks: Turn on the main water supply valve and test the mixer for any leaks. Check all connections and joints for water drips or leaks. If you notice any leaks, tighten the connections further or apply more plumber's tape as needed.

9. Finish the installation: Once you have confirmed that there are no leaks, seal the gaps between the mixer and the wall with silicone caulk. This will provide a clean and waterproof finish.

10. Test the functionality: Turn on the shower valve to ensure that the water flows smoothly and that the mixer functions like conncect to Shower Head, Hand Shower or body jets properly. Adjust the temperature and water flow as desired.

By following these steps, you should be able to install a concealed shower and bath mixer with a fix-box successfully. However, if you are unsure or uncomfortable with any step of the process, it is recommended to seek professional help from a licensed plumber.
